The ninth season of celebrity Portrait Artist of the Year 2022 will air on Sky Arts. During that time, amateur and professional artists will compete for a significant prize by painting portraits of 21 renowned people. The competitors will participate in seven heats and spend four hours painting their celebrity sitter. The participants will compete against one another to see who will advance to the semi-finals.
The final will be shot in the National Portrait Gallery, and the winner will receive a commission worth £10,000 to paint comedian and Rings of Power star Lenny Henry.
