10 Things Everybody Does In Movies But Nobody Does In Real Life

Movies can be a great way to escape from reality. However, there are just some details that make us wanna go “that’s not how it works in real life!" So many movies and TV shows do these things that don’t really make sense, like how every grocery bag has to have a baguette or uses brown paper bags, or just wakes up with perfect hair and a beautiful face.
So let’s see what other things that usually happen on screen but rarely happen in real life. Which details that you find the most illogical?

1. Everybody Has Baguettes When Shopping

When we see a character coming back from their grocery shopping trip, chances are they will come back with a brown paper bag with at least one baguette sticking out the top. Other popular items include a celery stalk, oranges, and sometimes milk. How come almost everybody has the same grocery list?

2. Wake Up Looking Gorgeous

If you’re a character in a movie or TV show, you will have the magical ability to wake up with a perfect makeup face and not a single hair out of place. In real life, nobody looks THAT good when they first open their eyes in the morning.

3. Take Your Glass Off And You Will Become Beautiful

Makeovers in movies sure are fun to watch, but the trope of a nerdy character transforming into a hot girl or guy after they take off their glass is so illogical. The glasses are like a magical switch. Glasses on, you’re ugly. Glasses off, you’re the hottest girl in the school. If only real life could be that easy.

4. Massive Breakfasts That No One Eats

Breakfast tables in movies are usually so much more extravagant than what most of us have for breakfast in real life. Eggs, waffles, fruit, toast, pancakes, and orange juice look all fresh and ready to be devoured as soon as the main character walks out of their room. We all know that most of us will only have a granola bar or a bowl of cereal on Tuesday mornings. But the most ridiculous part of these scenes? The characters don’t even eat it! They get a few bites or grab a slice of toast, then something happens and they just leave. Such a waste.

5. Jumping In The Shower Without A Care

Never have we seen any character stick their hand out to check for the water temperature before jumping in their shower. What if the water was really cold, or extremely hot? Yikes!

6. Adult friends hang out regularly

On-screen we see groups of adult friends hanging out regularly every Friday night or having some kind of crazy vacation together every year. In real life, we adults rarely meet our friends on a daily basis like that.

7. Ordering Beers Without A Specific Brand

The character just leans over the bar and says “I’ll have a beer,” and the bartender will magically know which beer they want even if they’ve never met. In real life, if you do that, chances are whoever is standing behind the bar raises their eyebrows and as you what kind.

8. Casually Throw Money On The Bar And Walk Out

After finishing their meal, movie characters will just carelessly throw money on the table and walk out. It might be cool, but so unrealistic. In real life, people carefully put their money on the table after counting it slowly.

9. Looking At The Person Next To You While Driving

If you’re driving, keep your eyes on the road. That’s just common sense. Sadly, not many people in movies have that common sense. They will just keep driving while looking lovingly into the eyes of the person that is sitting next to them.

10. Everybody Steps Aside For The Popular Kids

And last but not least, no matter how popular you’re, there is no way that everybody will automatically step aside to clear a path for you in the school hallway. And popular groups do not walk in formation. They walk like everyone else.
