7 Actors Who Give A S*** To Prepare For Their Roles

If you don't know what you're doing or don't prepare properly, acting can be challenging, just like any other profession. An actor's terrible day on the job can be even worse than the average bad day at the office because of the extra stress of having the entire incident captured on film. What an actor is required to perform on any given day when they show up on the set might vary greatly from one film to the next, and that's just one thing that sets acting apart from other professions.
This results in innumerable anecdotes of performers being hilariously outclassed by the demands of their roles due to lack of preparation, arrogance, or sheer bad luck. Some of the most illustrious unprepared performances are highlighted here. These actors who are ready for their roles are unexpected.

Aika Waititi, who plays Hitler in his film Jojo Rabbit, did very little research for the role. "There was no need for me to conduct any research. Therefore, I didn't. When creating him, I didn't use any previous knowledge or media depictions of Hitler as inspiration "Waititi told Deadline that he isn't playing Hitler but rather a child's interpretation of the Nazi leader. "I gave him a poor haircut and a wispy mustache and called it a day. And a weak German accent," Waititi remarked, adding that it was "too odd" to play Hitler himself."

2. Michael Gambon

Michael Gambon, who took over for Richard Harris as the adored Dumbledore in the third film, had never read any of the books before he was cast. It's pointless to read the books if you're just messing around with Steve Kloves' phrases, as Gambon put it. Especially after the now-famous scene in the fourth film in which Dumbledore asks Harry whether he put his name in the cup of fire, many have critiqued his portrayal of Dumbledore as being overly harsh.

3. Christopher Plummer

All the Money in the World actor Christopher Plummer hardly had time to study his role as real-life figure J. Paul Getty. After Kevin Spacey was accused of sexual assault, it was reported that Christopher Plummer would take over the role, and filming would resume early in November. Nine days of filming for Plummer's part began on November 20, just a few weeks after he was cast. Because he didn't care to do any digging, he knew nothing about the Gettys. Considering the time constraints, "I completely followed the script and Ridley's instructions," Plummer told the Hollywood Reporter.

"Other actors had spent weeks or months prepping for the trilogy's shoot." First, he learned sword fighting in New Zealand and started shooting. "Doing something physical first felt good. Before playing Frank Churchill in the film adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma, Ewan McGregor had never read the novel. 6. Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman has extensively prepared for his role as Wolverine in subsequent films, but he could not do so for the original X-Men movie. This is because he was cast a few weeks into filming to replace Dougray Scott. He just had three weeks to get into acting shape. It seemed as though he had never tried weightlifting before. Jackman was never a comic book reader and had no idea who Wolverine was or what the X-Men were. Indeed, he didn't even realize wolverines existed.

7. Daniel Day-Lewis

Daniel Day-Lewis is known for method acting and going all out for his roles, but Gangs of New York may be his most extreme example. In character, he'd attack strangers in Rome. He became a butcher's apprentice. He was nominated for an Oscar, so it worked.
