Being gay is discussed openly in today's society, as it should be. Given the general public's fixation on the famous, it stands to reason that we would also be interested in their offspring, especially when many famous people have children who are out and proudly homosexual.
Some of the most famous people in the world have children who identify as members of the LGBT community, and this article lists them all, from famous athletes to legendary performers. We need to live in a world that accepts everyone, and our society is so divided that we, as a whole, need to be the change.

1. Cher

Legendary Cher. She's so amazing she never required a last name. We agree that she's the pop goddess. Chaz Bono is Cher's transgender son. Although it wasn't easy, she's always supported her son's choice. Cher said, "I try to help people understand by saying, 'I love being a woman so much, but if I woke up tomorrow and was a guy, I couldn't function.'"

2. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were renowned. They have six adopted and biological children. Shiloh, Jolie and Pitt's first biological kid, has always followed her path, and they're comfortable with it. Shiloh is always seen dressed as a boy, and we applaud Jolie and Pitt for letting her be herself. Shiloh's parents are supportive and loving regardless of her gender identity. The world should do more of it.

3. Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan is a martial artist, actor, and director. Chan's filmography includes Rush Hour, Police Story, and The Foreigner. Chan had an affair with Etta Ng's beauty queen mother. He and his daughter never really connected, although they're both fighters. Etta came out on Instagram last October. Her strength and assertiveness are admirable. Chan, who wasn't the best father to Etta, nevertheless has a gay child, which is the focus of this list. Chan's lack of interest in his child is upsetting.

Cheney's support for same-gender marriage is remarkable for a Republican. Cheney has shown his daughter and the world that love knows no gender.

R. Kelly has always been in tricky situations. When his daughter Jaya became transgender in 2014, he used music to communicate with followers. In an interview, R. Kelly claimed, "You shouldn't say my daughter is becoming my son. Don't credit bloggers. Authenticity. Believe what you see with your own eyes... I've heard many things, but they weren't true. Not anymore. Three adorable kids star. It's a backstory even when you see it."

6. Barbra Streisand

Barbra Streisand is a legendary singer. The singer-actress has a large fan base and always uses her platform to inspire others. Streisand, who has a gay child, became an LGBT rights campaigner. Her son, who wasn't openly gay until the early 1990s, has always stated he's lucky to have his mother's support. Streisand has long had gay fans, and her staunch support of her son made her a Goddess to the LGBT community.

Rice is the mom of a lesbian child and has always been outspoken about her support for the LGBT community. Her openly gay son and fellow novelist Christopher Rice claims that his mother has always provided him with unending support to feel at ease being who he is. In an angry Facebook post, Anne Rice demanded an end to prejudice based on religion, saying: "I will no longer allow hate speech dressed up as Christian doctrine with the usual reckless pick and choose bible passages and talk of sin and hellfire."
