Nate Fakes is a Los Angeles-based cartoonist. He has been drawing comics professionally for about 11 years - a long journey for an artist to learn from experience. The illustrator shares that he had been drawing since he got his first box of crayons. In addition, Gary Larson’s The Far Side comic strip and MAD magazine are his biggest inspirations that make him decide to be a cartoonist his whole life. “It’s a tough profession, but the most rewarding profession, too," says Nate. The artist started his journey of becoming a cartoonist while doing college and was the staff comic artist for the college newspaper. At the same time, Nate had the chance to intern at MAD Magazine in New York City and began creating comics for MAD after that. "The best thing about being a solo artist is the freedom of working for yourself." the artist adds.
