Everything About 7 Kingdoms Of Atlantis In Aquaman Franchise

Aquaman introduces a magnificent underwater world with 7 kingdoms of Atlantis. They are all interesting and exciting spots to witness in the movie. Previously, the movie gave a short description about these kingdoms. Let’s rewind and explore this fantastic world in the DC Extended Universe. 

#1. Atlantis

It is the most essential kingdom out of these 7 kingdoms of Atlantis. Atlantis is home to king Atlan, queen Atlanna, king Orvax, Orm and Aquaman. It is also the capital of the undersea world with the most modern technology, most powerful authority and strength. The trident of Atlan, the founding king of it, has the ability to unite all kingdoms, proving the undeniable vitality of this kingdom. 
In the movie, the underwater kingdom is shockingly fascinating with the most advanced buildings and means of transportation. Built on the wreckage of old Atlantis, the kingdom now is also one of the most advanced kings in the whole world, not only under the ocean. It is surrounded by high sea walls and guarded so carefully that there is hardly anyone to break into. 
Needless to say, Atlantis is also one of the civilized kingdoms among these. It might also have the right to start wars and revolutions over countries on land.

#2. Xebel

Xebel is Mera’s kingdom. It is the most rivalry kingdom to Atlantis. The two most powerful kingdoms have a complicated cooperation, sometimes they are enemies while sometimes they are allies. However, it is the closest country to Atlantis as Mera is trained there and also engaged to Orm. Xebelians are mostly exact like Atlanteans with human figures and the same civilization. Therefore, it holds the second place as the most important Atlantis’ ally.  King Nereus is also Mera’s father.

#3. Kingdom of the Fishermen

By appearance, these are more fish-like with tails and scales. Notwithstanding their name, these men are not fishermen but intellectuals and philosophers. This kingdom is one conservative kingdom which believes in their knowledge and learning. They are proud of their peaceful kingdom thanks to academic studies. Somehow, fishermen consider themselves a higher form of Atlanteans. For this reason, King Ricou of the kingdom refused to join with Atlantis and Xebel to fight the surface. Afterwards, Orm kills him in front of his family and governors and promotes his daughter, Scales, as the new ruler.

#4. Kingdom of the Brine

The Brine Kingdom is the last one in the 4 remaining kingdoms. They are also the most unique crustacean-type creatures with pride. It is located in the deep sea with mountains and lava rivers. The Brine does not hesitate to fight over the armies of Atlantis and Xebel with high-technology weapons and fierceless warriors. 

#5. Kingdom of the Trench

This fallen kingdom is populated by monstrous creatures which don’t do much but hunt. Atlanna was executed there but she succeeded in fleeing. The Trench is uncivilized and ignorant, however, deadly and dangerous. The Hidden Sea, the core of the world, is located nearby this kingdom. In fact, Atlanna, Mera and Aquaman all make it there after surviving the Trench’s hunt.

#6. Kingdom of the Deserters

Sahara was an Atlantean colony long before it turned into a desert. The trident of Atlan was created there and also the map leading Arthur and Mera to the Hidden Sea is kept there also. 

#7. The Lost Kingdom

This is the least known kingdom and is seldom mentioned. However, as far as we know, it sank together with other kingdoms of Atlantis and remains unheard ever since. Probably, in the next movie, Aquaman 2, it will be revealed.
