20 Times This Norwegian Artist Illustrated Situations With Dark Humor

Torbjørn Lien is a Norwegian cartoonist best known for the comic series 'Kollektivet'. He made his first published drawings for his school paper in his hometown Mosjøen, Nordland. The local newspaper Helgeland Arbeiderblad ran his comic strip 'Orion' in 1984, and Lien subsequently contributed to magazines like KOnK and Kraftig Kost.

He developed and wrote one of the first Norwegian role-playing games, called 'Imperum 3000', in the 1990's. He was also the driving force behind the literary fanzine Ácin Dambágin. His series 'Kollektivet' started in the year 2000, and is now published in its own monthly comic book. Lien is also the author of the comical Bible series 'Mannakorn', the sensitive barbarian 'Ahar' and the series 'I heisen'.

Lien was additionally a teacher with the animation program of Volda University between 1998 and 2000. His 'Kollektivet' comics have been collected in book format by Schibsted Forlag since 2006.
