14 Double Standards We Have Our Encountered In Society

A theory or policy that is unjustifiably applied inconsistently to similar objects is known as a double standard. In essence, this means that when two or more objects, like people or groups, are treated differently when they ought to be treated the same way, a double standard is present.
A double standard can, for instance, involve punishing one employee while rewarding another after they perform the identical task, despite the fact that there is no justification for doing so.
Although equality is the foundation of most value systems and the Holy Grail of humanity, we have not yet fully reaped its benefits. Although our society has made great strides toward improvement over the previous, oh, 100 years or so, there is still a long way to go. The numerous double standards that continue to this day to divide people are the perfect example of this.
According to the definition of a double standard, it is a rule or a principle that is applied to several individuals or groups. Even today, gender equality is the most notable example of a double standard. When done by a woman, what is typically acceptable for men is unacceptable. From beachwear to lady bosses and everything in between, society finds excuses to pipe in about what's wrong.

The double standard I despise the most are the people who claim to be "pro-life." No the hell you aren't. You just care about abortions. Once that tiny clump of cells is out of the womb, you couldn't give less of a s**t about what happens to it. They believe every clump of cells is sacred until that clump of cells, turned human, is blasted to literal bits by a gun. There was a little girl at the Uvalde shooting who was identified by her bloodied shirt because her head had exploded due to the bullets of the firearm. However, for her, all she will receive are "thoughts and prayers." Thoughts and prayers do jack s**t for a kid who is dead. No legislation, just words and thoughts sent into the ether.
