Calling Rescue Dog Undetermined Origin, Obnoxious Neighbor Got Laughed At And Was Rejected To Pay Flea Treatment Fee

Our furry angels usually have flea trouble if we don't get them checked periodically by the vet. Pet owners shouldn't underestimate these mini-sized parasites since they can irritate and sicken the infected animals as well as attack humans. Once in a while, fleas can even cause quarrels between dog and cat families. Let's read the story from start to finish to see what was going on!

The original poster (a dog man with his user account name u/Typical_Ad_210) denounced his cat neighbor on the mighty spicy subreddit r/AmItheA**hole. He detailed having his dog flea-treated monthly at the vet clinic and they told him the dog was doing well. Meanwhile, the next-door lady refused to vaccinate her cats and dealt with their fleas with a mixture of essential oils and garlic. The OP detested her for always pretending to be highly-educated and generous while showing off her wealth and looking down on others. She even called his dog an undetermined origin mutt since he was fostered away from a rescue charity.

The past week, the neighbor let her 7-year-old kid run to and hug and play with the OP's furball without asking for permission. Then, she informed the OP that the child was bitten and her house had been contaminated by the fleas which she assumed came from his stupid dog. Therefore, she demanded he needed to pay £250 for the flea treatment. The OP laughed at her, told her to discipline her kid, and refused to spend any penny on her.

Redditors agreed that the OP wasn't responsible for his neighbor's infection. They cited that his house was flea-free and his dog was prescribed cured so they weren't the infecting source. Plus, fleas didn't increase in number in a couple of days and seldom bit humans through a short interaction with the animals. The woman was Shameless to blame it all on the OP.

Furthermore, Reddit advised the OP to keep an eye on the felines because they were so poor for having an owner with an unscientific point of view. They were worried these cats might be poisoned someday, hence they hoped the OP could call animal control in time.

Some comments were quite different from the others for chiding the OP for being rude and petty. Even though they didn't think the neighbor was innocent, they didn't like the way he diminished her. They reckoned both were at the same despising level.
