Reddit Rages At Man For Threatening His Stepdaughter About Removing Her Deceased Pet's Souvenir

Animal lovers on Reddit once again rally to persuade a woman to reconsider her marriage because of her future husband's attitude toward her passed-away family pet dog. As they become more frustrated, they still hope their voices reach out and change the situation. But are they putting efforts in the right direction? Would this case be one of the examples that the majority isn't always reasonable? Let's read the whole story up till the very end to see it!

The original poster (user account name u/ThrowRAsp677) pinned her post on the hot spicy subreddit r/AmItheA**hole to detail her future dream family: she, her two-month-engaged doctorate high-salary fiance, and her twelve-year-old daughter Ruby. The girl's favorite pup named Tic had gone for good, thus, the OP hung a beautifully framed picture of Tic smiling on the living room's wall to comfort her. Then, the man moved in and started helping her with the mortgage payment.

They seemingly would become a happy family until the future stepfather saw Tic's image and badmouthed him. Also, he removed the photo and threatened the girl that he would discard it if it was placed in front of his eyes again. Replying to him, the OP took down all his certificates and degrees hanging on the wall, which infuriated him. Therefore, he gave them the cold treatment unless they apologized to him and put his things back.

In the comment section below the pinned post, Reddit raged about the OP's circumstance. They didn't mean to ruin her marriage, but they didn't expect it to be a good one. They designated her fiance as not being generous and sympathizing. Besides, they warned her that he wouldn't offer his shoulder for her and the girl to lean on easily and willingly. They assume that man would, by all means, try to rule over his family and make himself the center.

Meanwhile, other Redditors pondered what that man was thinking of when he turned the living room into his showcase of how well-educated and wise he was but acted lowly toward people around him. Even though the OP explained him as being a non-animal lover, they didn't find it reasonable for him to be so petty to his stepchild. Despite his undeniable financial ability, Reddit suggested a re-evaluation on marrying him.
