18 Stars Who Worked For Other Celebs Before Becoming Famous

It may be difficult to imagine the biggest stars of today working another job. Have you ever tried to picture a reality TV star cleaning your closet or a star from an A-list movie taking care of your children? It just seems strange.
However, some of Hollywood's greatest stars had normal jobs just like the rest of us before they were famous. Indeed, some celebs even worked for other famous people.
Some pre-fame jobs made sense for the careers those future stars desired. For example, some comic actors worked as interns for famous late-night TV stars before getting their big roles.
However, some are more surprising. Did you know that before becoming an action star, Harrison Ford worked as a carpenter for some celebs? Or that before her careers as an actor and then a duchess, Meghan Markle calligraphed for a few famous couples?
We have discovered 18 celebs who once worked for another celebrity, and we must admit, some of them are very surprising.

#1 Allison Williams worked for Tina Fey as an assistant.

Before becoming a big star as an actor, Allison Williams worked as Tina Fey's second assistant. She is currently best known for her role as a lead in the HBO series Girls.

#2 Angela Kinsey was Conan O’Brien's intern.

Angela Kinsey is a notable character from The Office. The actor worked exclusively for bandleader Max Weinberg while she was an intern at Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 1994.

#3 Ashley Olsen interned for Zac Posen.

Ashley Olsen worked as a Zac Posen intern before starting her fashion line. In an interview, Posen remembered how she demonstrated her passion and ambition by appearing at the door and knocking to get the internship.

Bethenny Frankel was a babysitter for none other than Paris Hilton before she rose to fame on The Real Housewives of New York City and helped take care of Hilton and her sister when they were little.

#5 D’Arcy Carden was Bill Hader’s children's babysitter.

A well-known hilarious actor had D'Arcy Carden as his nanny. Carden cared for Bill Hader's daughters before her breakthrough role as Janet on the TV series The Good Place.

#6 Eric Stonestreet worked security for Garth Brooks.

Although Eric Stonestreet rose to fame as Cam in Modern Family, that wasn't where his Entertainment career started. The actor admitted in an Instagram post that he provided security for singer Garth Brooks.

Harrison Ford was a carpenter before he became an actor and found his big break as Han Solo in Star Wars. He has worked on other films with producers Fred Roos and Francis Ford Coppola.

#8 Heather Morris used to be Beyoncé’s backup dancer.

Heather Morris worked for Beyoncé before playing Brittany on Glee. Morris supported the singer on stage during The Beyoncé Experience tour in 2007 as well as during several TV performances of Single Ladies and award show appearances.

The most well-known case of a star working for another is Kim Kardashian for Paris Hilton. Kim organized Paris's closet before she rose to fame with her reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kim worked with stars like Serena Williams, Rob Lowe, Brandy, Kenny G, and Cindy Crawford in addition to assisting Hilton with her closet organization.

#15 Meghan Markle calligraphed Robin Thicke’s wedding invitations.

Before she joined the British royal family and before she had a recurring role on Suits, Meghan Markle provided calligraphy services to several well-known people, including Robin Thicke. Markel wrote Dolce & Gabbana's celebrity correspondence in addition to drafting Thicke's wedding invites.

#16 Mindy Kaling worked as an intern at Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

Mindy Kaling worked for Conan O'Brien before she became a very successful actor, author, and TV show creator. As a Dartmouth University student, Kaling worked as Conan O'Brien's intern at Late Night. She later wrote the script for the talk show movie Late Night, which is about the same period.
