French Artist Installs Putin-Riding-A-Tank Red Statues In Parks All Across The World, And They Are Quickly Targeted By Kids

Recently, Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has recently been spotted on many playgrounds in Paris, Barcelona, and New York City. Well, not exactly - bright-red sculptures of Putin were erected in those places by French artist James Colomina. Colomina is renowned for his red sculptures, many of which make social commentary. And Putin was unable to escape the artist's commentary after fighting with Ukraine for five months. The statues that the artist has installed depict the Russian president riding a small tank like a child would ride a toy car.
"This sculpture aims at denouncing the absurdity of war and at highlighting children's courage when faced with violent, catastrophic situations triggered by others," Colomina wrote on Instagram.
Since late June, Colomina has been uploading pictures of the Putin statue at various parks all around the world. The pictures are frequently about kids interacting with the sculpture, and they are just as powerful as the sculpture itself. These kids have even engaged the monument in a squirt gun battle while being oblivious of its significance. All of these interactions serve Colomina's original motivations for making the red Putin sculpture.
