We all hope friendship is about support, sympathy, and maybe a slightly clean-and-clear competence. However, envy and jealousy can, little by little, break the valuable connection between two close fellows while they aren't aware of it. Until someday, by some chance, they show their true selves and hurt each other. It was a pitiful relevant situation shared on the sharp hot subreddit r/AmItheA**hole by a woman with her account name u/hopefulmom (account deleted afterward). The original poster had been expecting a baby for a couple of years. She was quite excited when her quick test turned positive after three weeks of period delay. Unfortunately, the happiness soon disappeared as she no longer found proof of an upcoming fetus. That had been the third time she miscarrying a baby. Her close buddy, Shelley, a lady diagnosed with dysfunction that cost her the ability to bear a child, tried to be there by the OP's side and soothed her.

It was just one thing about Shelley that the OP disliked: she kept moaning about her sixteen-year befriending feline named Tiger and couldn't seem to manage her busted-out emotions. It was quite a time after the cat passed away so the OP expected her friend to move on. She suggested she went to talk with a therapist and explained that losing a cat was nowhere to compare with losing a baby. The poor cat lady was speechless hearing those words. With tears filling her face, she ran away while bawling, which made the OP somehow feel shameful.

From Reddit's main point of view, they indicated the OP verbally treated the cat woman so cruelly that they claimed it would be dump not to wave her goodbye. They accused the OP of being heartless, self-centered, and selfish for prioritizing her loss beyond her friend's. They designated every pain counted and every hurt deserved soothing. It was a big fat wrong to prove somebody's loss was bigger or smaller as if it was meant for the Olympic Championship competition.

Most of the Reddit comments went utterly harsh on the OP as they found her unforgivable. Several softer ones advised her to apologize to her buddy with all of her sincereness if she really appreciated their bonds. But first, she had to get rid of her intoxicated "I, me and myself" ideas.
