Son Threatens His Allergic Mom To Not Come Home Unless He Can Bring His Dog Along

Every parent desires to raise their children to be responsible and considerate. They all hope when the kids grow up and become kind adults who appreciate everyone and care for even animals. However, it can go wrong and nobody knows why or whether someone missed the most important point. To get out of her burdensome circumstance, a mother asked Mumsnet for advice on her son's pet. If you're ready to dive into the story, let's begin reading right now!

The original poster told her story on the teeming topic "AIBU?" (Am I being unreasonable?) with her account name Domestic1980. Her eighteen-year-old son had moved out and adopted a pup while applying for a full-time job. The young man worked most of his time so the mom offered to take care of the puppy. That was when she realized she had an allergy to animal fur.

As a result, the OP returned the dog to him after three weeks and explained in a soft voice why she didn't want his pup to appear in her house again. Her son replied he wouldn't bother her with his pup's duty, but if she didn't allow the dog in her place, he wouldn't come to visit her again. The mom was confused and speechless, hence she went online for a consult.

In the comment section below the post, Mumsnetters shared their opinions that both the mother and the son had their own difficulties, which could be solved if they took the time to talk and compromise. It could be the son searching for a dog sitting service or the mom designing an isolated space in the house for the pup. In case they wished to see each other, there would always be a way.

Another opinion pointed out that the OP's son was inconsiderate. He might have been disappointed because his mom refused to continue nursing the dog. Either he was upset or he just loved his dog more than his mom, it still proved that he was still immature. The boy was unreasonable as he got the pup while he had no time for him and stressed his mom to help him with his trouble.

On the contrary, some people thought the OP should be happy for her son being responsible for his pet. It wouldn't take her too much to lend him a hand because it could be hard for him to find a kennel on the weekend. Her allergy didn't seem to be fatal thus she should go to a physician to get stronger anti-allergic tablets.
