It might be inevitable for pet owners to be apart from their fur babies on their vacation. On such occasions, many prefer asking their friends and families to take after the pets instead of bringing them to pet boarding. Though animal lovers feel excited about having pets to look after, some might find them a considerable burden.

Taking to Mumsnet, the account Sweaty84 asked netizens if she was wrong to expect her husband to take care of her friend’s dog.
The problem emerged when her friends hoped her family could take charge of their dog for a couple of weeks. It was not the first time they had looked after the dog, and she and her children were willing to do that. Unfortunately, her husband did not share the same view. He thought the pet would occupy the time he intended to spend with the daughters. As he was on leave, he wanted to enjoy many activities with their children instead of caring for a dog.

By contrast, the Mumsnetter was eager about the prospect of taking the dog and believed her family could enjoy quality time with it. However, as her husband did not want to bear any responsibility, she conceded and refused to help her friends. She said the dog would go to dog kennels if they did not take it. Then, the husband felt culpable, which drove the couple to an impasse.
