Reddit Advises Frustrating Woman To Report Neighbor's Kids For Violating Her Space

Every adult used to be a kid thus we all know that a kid sometimes can be extremely hard to handle. Problems involving children are always the most difficult to solve because it demands a perfect flexible balance between strictness and softness. That's the reason why a middle-aged woman with Reddit account name u/KieraJacque had to pin her trouble with neighbor's teenagers on the viral subreddit r/AmItheA**hole to ask for advice. Here is the whole context.

The original poster frustratingly had some displeasure with the boys next door( one of whom was fifteen years old, and the other was eleven) because they had often been intruding on her exterior area. Not only had they used her outdoor furniture, but they had also left trashed and made terrible noises even on the days the OP's fiance was sick resting. The woman managed to put up with the neighbor's kids since she thought they were just hyperactive and naughty. Besides, she was afraid of their father, who was a large tall strong man with a menacing look.

The incident reached its peak on the night she came home with her friend, and they were stopped at the door by these children. The boys insisted on making them join in their game by blocking the front door space with their huge bodies. The OP was so annoyed that she yelled at them and tried to push them away. Thinking back on her reaction made her feel quite shameful and anxious hence she had to share it on the internet.

Redditors mostly didn't blame the lady for what had happened because they didn't find her wrong or unreasonable. In fact, they even thought that she wasn't tough enough to deal with those troubling teenagers. They advised her to set up cameras and report the case if she failed to work with their parents or legal guardians. In addition, they supposed that educated teen boys wouldn't be that rude and aggressive. Therefore, putting up with them wouldn't be good for anyone.

On the contrary, some people expected her to be more polite toward these children. The kids were not well-behaved, but as an adult, she should explain to them about respecting others before acting grumpy. Also, they didn't understand why a lot of comments desired to have the police deal with children. They assumed people calling the police over a kid's joke were hot-tempered and rough.
