Humans are exceptionally good at fantasizing about their importance in the mind of others. Everyone wants to be the special someone to at least one. So much so that some people even do crazy things to get attention. That's pitiful and embarrassing.
This world doesn't revolve around anyone. Regardless of who you are, rich or poor, man or woman, you're just one among roughly 8 billion human beings on this planet. Do you think you're special? Just fine, good for you, keep it to yourself. You are the main character of your life and just that. Don't think that other people also need to recognize your presence. Who are you in their lives?
Some people are like, because they're confident and proud of themselves, so other people have to treat them like a protagonist. Oh, they think they are better, superior to other "side characters," and act accordingly. Of course, in other people's minds, they're nothing more than entitled idiots.
