Not Wanting To Let Boyfriend's Pup Come Living In, Girl Adopts Super Aggressive Husky

The topic "pet versus spouse" seems to be all-time heated. We never hope to see things get ugly between the person we love and the animal we treasure. But once in a while, we've got to make a decision we've never expected. When it happens, we might need to ask for help and advice. Got stuck in a dog-or-girlfriend confusion, a young man with the Reddit account name u/Mario-Boss- posted under the popular subreddit for pets r/dogs to look for a solution. The OP had been dating for four years and planned to move in with his girl. He wished to bring his ten-pound six-year-old dog along, yet before moving in, he knew his partner had just adopted an aggressive eighty-pound two-year-old husky who could easily swallow his little furball. As a result, he had no choice but to leave the dog at his parent's place and visit him once a week.

The couple sat down to have a conversation. Even so, the OP and his girl couldn't compromise together. She didn't want to turn the husky back to the shelter, which he considered selfish and immature. On the opposite side, the girl said she wouldn't let him take control of her life and interfere with what she hoped to do.

In most comments, Redditors took the OP's side. They expected no more from a relationship that couldn't even tolerate a small dog. When the higher waves came in such as financial problems or children, they would never see eye to eye. Finally, the OP would have neither his lover nor his dog. Therefore, he should clear out their commitment issue, even when it meant he could have to kiss her goodbye.

A minor part of the comments supposed that the OP hadn't told the whole context. They couldn't see why the girl dating him for four years turned her back on his dog as well as how he treated the new husky. If they yearned to save their relationship, they could have done better. They could train the big dog to behave friendlier in case the girl truly loved him.

The Op eventually informed that he broke up with his girlfriend because he couldn't persuade her to solve the dogs' problem the way he presumed. He still had to stay away from his dog so he got tired of her and chose his dog over her with no more regret.
