Teenagers Bring Fake Babies Home For A Parenting Project, And Their Desperate Texts For Help Are So Adorable

Parenting is tough. Yet, children don't understand it. Therefore, Chippewa Secondary School came up with the idea of carrying out a project that let their students have parenting experience. Through this project, teenagers can learn how difficult being a parent is.
As part of their annual class project, students at Chippewa Secondary School were given fake infants to take care of. The teenage students got to take the little fake babies home with them for a fun-filled weekend. However, that was enough to make the experiential learning rather difficult. The kids came to their instructor in search of clarification or simply a sympathetic ear. The messages they exchanged are the ideal summation of the despair, misery, and fury they experienced over the course of those few days. Right after their messages were shared online, people around the world fell in love with every bit of the misery of children.

Well, the class's teacher, Andrea Lefebvre, quickly realized that perhaps the pupils weren't quite as ready for the newborns as she had planned.
The teacher was the one the adolescents would seek help from when they were stuck, and boy did she get some entertaining texts during those two days.

“Our students are in a grade 11 class called Raising Healthy Children,” Andrea said. “The students bring home one of the Real Care babies for the weekend to apply their learning for the caring for a newborn unit."

According to Lefebvre, the infants behave like actual babies in that they cry, require to be carried, burp, and have their diapers changed. The dolls keep track of how they are handled as well.

“Our school board (Near North District School Board) owns the babies and each school accesses them through the year for their classes,” Lefebvre added. “Lots of use!”

“Students look forward to this unit when they register for the course. We really love this unit. Great discussions and real-life learning.”
