Reddit Offends Pet Sitter For Shifting The Blame For Destroyed Cat Food From Her Dog To Toothless Cat

Pets are playful and active. We pet owners always have to put our furry pals under control unless we want our world to get filled up with muddles. Especially when dogs and cats are living together, not only do they demolish our furniture but they also aggressively fight each other. Accordingly, a cat person had emphasized to her neighbor not to bring her dog along to her house. How the stories happened, let's discover!

The OP (original poster) with the Reddit account name u/JinxXedOmens brought charge to her neighbor's dog for tearing down thirty pouches of cat food on the popular subreddit r/Wellthatsucks. The OP had gone out for a few days thence she had asked a neighbor to house-sit and feed her kitten. When the next-door woman's dog appeared in the house, she refused to let him stay.

After the two-day trip, the OP went back home and found the cat food containers turned into junk. She angrily asked for an explanation from the housekeeper. Guess what she received: it was her toothless fourteen-year-old cat that had bitten these pouches. The OP was a hundred percent sure the neighbor's dog was the culprit and she was too shameful to confess.

The OP didn't detail whether she paid her to supervise the house but it seemed she did. Luckily her kitten appeared to be fed and didn't look starved. Anyway, she could go through two days unfed without getting ill.

Reddit found the neighbor a big fat liar. Not only was she bad at taking care of the cat and house-sitting but she was also bad at lying. She didn't even clean up the left-up mess or try to cover up the "crime scene". She seemed to be lazy and untrustworthy. Besides, she should have bought a new box of cat food to return because she was in charge of it.

Other Redditors showed their logic and reasons to break the who-bit-the-pouches case. They were excitedly using their pet-owning experiences to track down the fang trace on the plastic cover. Provided the OP's cat was toothless, they couldn't think of a better baddie than the dog.

Whatever had happened, Reddit came up with ideas to counterattack the house-sitter. She should neither get her paid nor be hired ever again. Moreover, some comments advised some tricks to deal with pet carers while owners were away. Unless there was a truly reliable person, pet owners should be aware of how their dogs and cats got treated when they were absent.
