12 Celebrities Whose Pets Look Exactly Like Them

Do humans actually resemble their dogs? The answer is yes, according to Sadahiko Nakajima, a Japanese psychologist. According to The Huffington Post, Nakajima discovered in a 2009 study that individuals could link persons and their pets only by glancing at photos of their faces. The “mere-exposure effect,” or familiarity, is what gives rise to the likeness. We, humans, have a tendency to adhere to what we know, so when it comes to selecting a canine life mate, we choose canines that, well, remind us of ourselves.

There is a subtle, subconscious effect that causes many individuals to select dogs with similar facial features. But enough science; let’s witness some of our favorite celebs demonstrate the mere-exposure effect! These renowned people are complete twins with their spoiled pets, demonstrating that even the powerful may experience the mere-exposure effect. In the end, celebrities and their dogs are just like us and our pets!
