Reddit Sides With Bride Who Kicked Brother-In-Law Out Of Her Wedding Because Of His Dog

Anyone would say a wedding is one of the most memorizing events of their life, and it is absolutely normal to expect the marriages to be flawless. Despite receiving many wishes from your friends and families, there is always someone who is not happy about your decision to get married and will try to ruin the special moment no matter what. In this case, it is the bride's brother-in-law.

Recently, an online user posted a question on one of the most followed communities on Reddit, asking whether she was the asshole for kicking her brother-in-law out of the wedding when he showed up with the dog despite her "no dogs" rule. The post quickly gained 3.5k upvotes and 386 comments of people voicing their opinions.
The author said that her wedding, which was a week ago, didn't go well according to plan. And the only one to blame was her husband's brother, who is 21 years old, the youngest sibling, and also happens to be the most spoiled child of the family.

The woman revealed that the brother (Jack) doesn't like her. Even though not showing, Jack has been passive-aggressive towards his soon-to-be sister-in-law. He often tries to make terrible comments about her several times. The boy has a German Shepard, which he considers his best friend, and they go everywhere together. Needless to say, the dog is a big and incredibly active boy; even Jack's mother can't stand her son's pet. Jack, however, insisted on having the dog invited to the wedding. His mother was confused when we turned out Jack's request. She told the future bride that her son didn't appreciate how the author disrespected his dog. "I have no hate for dogs I have a chihuahua that I got 3 years ago. But even she (bless her) cannot be around Jack's moody dog." said the author.

As time passed by, the author thought she had definitely solved the conflict, but the actual trouble had not yet come. On the day of the wedding, Jack proudly showed up with his dog and wore a T-shirt with the words "dog dad" on it. "I was shocked when I saw them," the author vented. Far worse than her imagination, the German shepherd was running around and made a mess out of everything. He was instantly making loud and unpleasant noises to the point that even some of the bride's dearest friends had to leave. The woman stood up for herself. She demanded Jack to take his dog out elsewhere for someone to look after it while he stayed inside. Jack refused and eventually was asked to leave.
His mother didn't leave the poor bride alone; she claimed the bride to be unreasonable and that she was the one who ruined her own wedding. Then the mother firmly asked her to remain calm and let Jack enjoy his brother's marriage. Oddly enough, despite witnessing the whole scene, the new husband didn't speak for her. With hands in his pockets, he said they should have eloped if that's how people react at the wedding.

The bride then put her foot down and once again strongly requested the spoiled 21 years old man to leave. Obviously, the groom's family was not happy about her action. They said she shouldn't have taken away Jack's happiness to attend his brother's wedding.
Inevitably, the mother was furious. She blamed the bride for overreacting and that she was just personally hating on the brother, plus, acting like a "bridezilla" for forcing her beloved son and "innocent" dog to leave. The author clarified that Jack intentionally tried to go against her wishes. Yet, she's still the one at fault, not to mention that the wedding happened at her brother's house.
