16 Celebrities Who Commited Serious Crimes, Some Could Take You Aback!

Celebrities can occasionally appear to be larger than life. We are familiar with almost all aspects of their private life, both good and negative. It creates news when two celebrities tie the knot. The same is true if a well-known person is found guilty of a crime. And it turns out that many of them have.
While some celebrity crimes receive extensive media publicity, others may have occurred so long ago that you are unaware of them. Some of the names on this list might even surprise you. Nobody ever claimed that famous people had to be saints, but it's difficult to believe that some of these actors, musicians, and TV stars committed crimes, especially if they had family-friendly jobs to their names.

1. Bill Cosby

Fans of Bill Cosby were horrified to find that the comedian had been accused by more than 60 women of sexual assault, sexual violence, and other occurrences dating back to the 1960s. He was found guilty of aggravated indecent assault in 2018, but the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned that decision in June 2021.

2. Chris Brown

In June 2009, Chris Brown admitted guilt to abusing Rihanna, who was then his girlfriend. A dispute over a different lady led to the attack. Five years of probation were imposed on Brown. He spent seven months in jail for breaking the terms of his probation.

Actor Charlie Sheen was detained on Christmas Day in 2009 in Aspen, Colorado, for beating his then-wife Brooke Mueller. He was formally accused with criminal misdemeanor threatening and felony menacing. The following day, he was freed from custody after paying a $8,500 bail.

After throwing her bong out the window of her midtown New York City apartment, former child actress and star of The Amanda Show Amanda Bynes was charged with marijuana possession, reckless endangerment, and attempted tampering with evidence in 2013. She was accused of driving under the influence in Los Angeles the following year.

You might be shocked to find that Bill Gates, a co-founder of Microsoft, has been detained twice, once in 1975 and once in 1977. He was pulled over for speeding and driving without a license the first time. In the second, he failed to stop at a stop sign while driving without a license.

Singer Justin Bieber, who was 19 at the time, was detained in 2014 on suspicion of DUI and resisting police. The music singer has since improved his behavior. He wed Hailey Baldwin, Alec Baldwin's daughter, in 2018.

Khloe Kardashian was detained for driving under the influence back in 2007; you might not be aware of this. The celebrity from Keeping Up With the Kardashians received a three-year probationary period.

Eminem, a rapper from Detroit, was detained in 2000 for carrying a hidden firearm, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum five-year jail sentence. Additionally, he was accused of displaying a gun. However, Eminem just had to spend a year on probation in the end.

At the age of 7, actor Danny Trejo took part in his first narcotics transaction. He was detained for the first time when he was 10 years old, and in 1956, he completed his term in Eastlake Juvenile Hall. Later, in 1962, he was sentenced to jail for drug trafficking and robbery. He was imprisoned for 11 years in all.

Actress Lindsay Lohan was detained and accused of driving under the influence in May 2007. Less than two weeks after leaving treatment, Lohan was arrested later that summer for possession of cocaine, DUI, and driving while her license was revoked.

Multiple women have accused Marilyn Manson, also known as Brian Hugh Warner, of sexual assault; nevertheless, it wasn't until July 2021 that he was apprehended by California police after turning himself in on a warrant for two counts of misdemeanor assault from New Hampshire.

After failing a sobriety test, 24 actor Kiefer Sutherland was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence in 2007. Later, he was freed after posting $25,000 bail. The actor has had four DUI charges since 1989, so this wasn't the first time he had been found driving while inebriated.

Actor Mark Wahlberg, at 16 years old, went on a drug-fueled rampage and gravely injured two individuals. After being accused of attempted murder, he admitted guilt to felony assault and received a two-year prison term. He only served 45 days, though.
