Mom Asks Daughter To Stop Talking To Her As She Almost Makes Little Sis Lose Her Cat, Resulting In Her Having To Move Out Of Their House

This might be a dream of parents of more than one child when they raise siblings: We teach our little sons and daughters to share clothes and toys, to understand and step backward for the other's benefit, and to defend one another against bullies on the playground. We all expect them to become literal BFFs.
The reality is, however, while raising two or more children, you'll have to deal with various
personalities your kids have. There’ll be competition. There’ll be jealousy and resentment. There’ll be arguments, there'll be fights, some of which can goes highly intensive.
If you witness your kids quarreling together, how will you solve it? In some cases, it's hard to take any kid's side because they seem both right and wrong with their behaviors. This mom of three shares with Reddit about an argument between her two daughters that is causing trouble for the whole family.

The argument derives from her 14 Y.O daughter's cat whom her 16 Y.O daughter hates to be with. The 16 often separates herself from the 14 and her cat, which makes her more and more apart from other family members.
When @aitasilentdaughter went out with her husband, their daughter had a fight over the cat. The 16 started asking her younger sister to take the cat away from her while it was swiping at her feet. However, the 14 laughed, called her cat a good boy, and gave it some treats. That really pissed the 16 off.
Then, the 16 cursed the cat out even though she knew it hurt the 14, which it did. In addition, she called the cat and threw some treats outside, which took the 14 an hour to get her cat back.
When @aitasilentdaughter and her husband got home, she started blaming the 16 for what she had done with her little sis. At the peak of her anger, she told the 16 not to talk to her anymore. Meanwhile, her husband believed the 14 was partly wrong because she intentionally pissed her older sister off. The mom and dad did not sleep together for a week.

The dad is now preparing some documents to take his 16 Y.O daughter to move in with his 25 Y.O one. @aitasilentdaughter asks if she's wrong to stop speaking to her daughter. In response, people say "Yes".
This complicated story gains 8.3K upvotes on Reddit, and here is how people reply.
