And, because the digital world is like our world, we need to set up rules and regulations to keep everything in order.

In the past, when the internet was not broadly available like today’s time, there were no rules to regulate the internet users or the content they posted there. And as a consequence, the internet has turned into a massive dump of ridiculous, inappropriate stuff. Well, humans have a unique ability to spoil everything they come into contact with, no matter if it’s touchable or not.

Luckily, we now have rules, or terms of service, to prevent this from happening. And the most frequently seen is that videos and photos posted online will be censored if they contain sensitive content. Undoubtedly, that’s a big leap to make the internet a better place for everyone. Children won’t accidentally see something inappropriate while watching movies anymore. For our children’s innocence!

Still, we have to admit that, for us, censorship is like a total Internet buzzkill, man! It just keeps us down when continuing to blur out all the best parts of our favorite movies and photos. But, that ‘censor bar’ can also be unexpectedly entertaining when misused. There are merits to making things a little hard to see, indeed. Many times, people laugh to tears looking at unnecessarily censored photos. Because you know, they are absurdly misleading and hilarious.
