30 Wholesome Comics That Show The Backstory Of Popular Animal Pictures

Divyansh Sikka is a talented artist who goes by the username That_DoodleGuy on Instagram. Since he was a child, he has been fascinated by wildlife. "Whenever I came across a unique picture of an animal, I used to wonder how was this photograph taken," he said.
Not only love to draw and make up stories but he also loves to look at the world differently. That's the reason why he came up with the idea of creating the backstory of popular animal pictures. "So it came to me one morning, why not use my love for doodling and create a wholesome backstory to these pictures? And I have not stopped since!"
He now owns an Instagram account with more than 45k followers who love his wholesome comics and artwork. "I used to post daily on my Instagram account but now I post on alternate days. I generally don't feel burned out as the creative process of drawing comics is my escape from the real world and it's how I am able to express myself. So rarely do I feel demotivated. I believe that I have this creative ability to write stories and these will last forever, even when I won't! I love the way I can dream up a story and turn it into comics.

"Ever since I was a kid, I'd look for comic strips in the newspaper and that is how I discovered Garfield. I would go to my local library and rent all Garfield editions and read them over and over again. More recently, I was introduced to Poorly Drawn Lines and Sarah Anderson Comics on Instagram and I love them too," he told Bored Panda.

"These were my inspiration to start drawing my comics. I used to draw only funny comics at first with animals as the main characters because I found it easier to use them to express my thoughts. I love wildlife photography and I wanted to somehow combine that with my comics, so I can also promote these wonderful wildlife photographers who put in so much effort to capture the perfect moment."

The artist shared how he created these comics. "I generally look for pictures on Instagram and Pinterest and save the ones that catch my eye. Then, I spend some time looking at the image and try to think of various backstories. I try to keep the stories wholesome, which give out a positive message. It takes me 2-3 hours to draw a comic once I have figured out the dialogues."
