Woman Paid A Stranger's $600 Vet Bill, Got Criticized By BF For Her Random Act Of Kindness

The woman on Reddit has been left baffled after she decided to pay for a stranger's $600 (£460) vet bill after noticing they wouldn’t be able to pay for it. Her act of kindness saved their cat, but it has angered her boyfriend. He criticized her and started an argument with her for being too nice.

In the subreddit r/relationship_advice, the woman shared that she and her boyfriend found a kitten on the side of the road and took it to their local vet, where they saw a lady who was crying because she wouldn’t be able to pay for her cat's surgery fees, and the cat was at risk of putting down.
Instead of leaving the woman to suffer, the Reddit user stepped up to pay the bill for the stranger, and her kind deed left her boyfriend furious. He was angry at her, and she felt upset about what he said.

"I’m still feeling pretty upset about what he said. Initially, I felt great about helping the lady. I was happy to be able to help her keep her fur baby. I’m not really sure how to proceed with my boyfriend. Maybe he was right, I don’t know. We haven’t really talked much today at all, and I feel like he’s kind of giving me the silent treatment now," the Reddit poster wrote.
Redditors quickly responded to her post and agreed that the woman did the right thing by saving the cat and helping the owner pay the vet bill. Many of them told her that there's nothing wrong with being nice.
