12 Feel-Good Thoughts About Thor And Bruce Banner

Throughout nearly 30 movies, countless incidents have happened and created the chemistry between characters, including love, hate, and hostility. Thanks to these connections, the movies can bring not only live-action scenes but also various senses of emotion to the audience. As a result, Marvel movies have left unforgettable impressions on viewers.
One of the best duos in Marvel movies is the duet Thor-Bruce Banner. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe recognize a dynamic couple when they see one, and Thor and Bruce have chemistry, unlike any other Marvel duo we've seen thus far. Starting as antagonists, they gradually made to know each other, and become the best comrades. Below are the 12 feel-good thoughts about the friendship between Thor and Bruce.

1. They Are Just Besties

From Tumblr user cool-i-m-dead-inside: "Bruce following Thor around on Sakaar, because he’s never been to an alien planet before, has the exact same energy as when you go to a friend's house for the first time and have no idea what to do."

2. They Praise Each Other Whenever They Need It Most

From Tumblr user arson-in-the-name-of-gay: "I never really shipped Thorbruce, (that is the ship name right?) but I recently re-watched Thor: Ragnarok. And despite the fact Bruce was panicking about being on a different planet, finding out he was the Hulk for years, and just all-around anxiety/confusion, he stops to complement Thor’s haircut.
And I just- I just love that."

3. The Importance Of 'I Trust You'

From Tumblr user maybeishouldwritesomething: "To Bruce, “I trust you” is not something he says to just anyone.
“I trust you” means “I know you won’t hurt me”. It means “I can drop my guard and let you see me for who I really am, for better and for worse”. It means “I know I won’t hurt you, I can’t hurt you”. It means “you have me, all of me, for as long as you’ll have me”. The only person Bruce has ever truly felt safe saying this to is Thor, and Thor knows how much it means coming from him.
To Bruce, “I trust you” means far more than “I love you”.

4. When Bruce Hyped Up Thor

From Tumblr user plumebellz: "Just saw someone compare the scene in Infinity War where Bruce screams at Thanos that he's so screwed now when Thor lands down, to a high school girl saying that someone's in trouble now when her boyfriend shows up.
And honestly, yeah."

5. Thor Actually Watches For Bruce

Source: Marvel Studio

From Tumblr user uhthor: "It makes me so feral that nobody ever comforts bruce in a touchy-feely way until Ragnarok. After he hulks out or dehulks, everyone is scared of him and threatened by him/everyone avoids him to let him sort out by himself, but Thor is the only person who has ever checked on Bruce after dehulking (“I won’t hurt you.”) or something traumatic happening (stroking his forehead after he performed the snap and saying it’s okay as well as being the only one who gave a sh*t that it was hurting him). Thor cares about bruce so... much, in a way that none of the other Avengers even touch upon. Every single part of him"

6. They Always Are Good For Each Other

From Tumblr user imposterogers:
"I love that in Thor [Ragnarok] Bruce and Thor don’t start off as friends. They don’t think they have anything in common. They never had a reason to talk/hang out before. They’re really just work-friends (if that). But over the course of Ragnarok, they’re forced together, and they realize they’re so compatible??? Thor & Hulk talk about their anger issues, Bruce realizes that Thor is actually super smart and understands complex science.
Thor realizes that Bruce is good on his feet and can improvise (fly an alien space ship w/ no experience). They’re both extremely loyal. Bruce is scared to be close to anyone in case the hulk hurts them, but Thor is a match for hulk and has Asgardian physiology! Thor is emotionally wounded, but don’t worry, Bruce Banner is a doctor whose number one goal in life is to help people and is extremely emphatic! brb crying over how they’re literally so good for each other."

7. We All Out

From Tumblr user dorky-thor: "Thor and Bruce really said that Earth was not a vibe and checked out before the Avengers had their little catfight."

8. Possessing The Same Energy

From Tumblr user uhthor:
"I just think they radiate the exact same energy here.
Thor is looking at Hulk and seeing him for the first time in two years. He sees Hulk as he really is: vulnerable and being taken advantage of. Thor does everything he can to take hulk away from the grandmaster and the contest of champions where he is just a pawn for Entertainment and betting and takes every opportunity to get Bruce back from being stuck in Hulk’s trunk. He saw Bruce as more than the Hulk, and he managed to get through to the hulk, too. Thor is the only one of the avengers who cares about both Bruce and Hulk, something that they’ve never experienced before probably ever.
And he still believes that Bruce is a hero and doesn’t refuse his help on Asgard. He never forces him to do anything he doesn’t want to, and Bruce ultimately turns into the hulk on Asgard to help by his own choice. FOR THOR. Meanwhile, Bruce is looking at Thor and seeing the broken shell that he has tried to put back together to create this facade. He can see that even if he is comedic for Korg and Miek, he isn’t fooling Bruce.
He can see that Thor is still just as great a leader and hero despite how he may feel about himself and the issues and grief he is struggling through because it is exactly how Thor saw him six years ago on Sakaar. He recognizes the struggle Thor is going through and sympathizes with it, rather than just shrugging it off. He cares for Thor and cares about the things he’s going through. He wants to offer Thor the lifeline of getting everyone back because he knows it will heal Thor of all the self-ridicule and hatred he’s put himself through for the last five years.
And to put it briefly, they both saved each other."

 9. Please Let Them Live Their Lives

From Tumblr user imposterogers: "Marvel be like “how do we retire characters? how about we just k*ll them!” and I just want to say Bruce Banner and Thor do not need to die. Send them on scientific exploration into the space sunset together. If that sounds fishy and weirdly close to a honeymoon ha ha ha no it doesn’t. It's just bros being bros going on a scientific exploration into the sunset together..."

10. Thor & Bruce Make More Sense Than Nat & Bruce

From Tumblr user imposterogers: "Thor was always the best Avenger to talk the Hulk down. He’s an alien god that’s practically indestructible, and he obviously knew “the sun is going down”. It probably would have made Bruce feel a lot better to know that the person “putting the Hulk to bed” wasn’t in serious harm's way and could knock him out had the Hulk put up a fight.
Thor immediately thought the Hulk was neat in Avengers 1 and was the only team member to never be scared of him. He should have been the first choice. Too bad they wanted to push a romance that made no sense LMFAO."

11. They Trust Each Other

From Tumblr user trekkies-unite:
"So if Bruce’s arm is permanently bound [from harming it in the snap], does that mean the Hulk's arm is also unusable? Just imagine Bruce raging into the Hulk and then someone has to calm him down enough to keep him from damaging it worse.
I want there to be an instructional recording they have to play for the Hulk to remind him about his arm. And I want it to be Thor. Obviously."

12. Thor and Bruce Are Comrade

Source: Marvel Studio

From Tumblr user jdmsrovia:
"Thorbruce are soulmates.
So I've been thinking a lot about this post and how great Thorbruce is as a ship. But then I realized how really, truly perfect they are for each other.
I mean think about it, they contrast each other completely. And not just in physical appearance, but in emotions. Bruce's coping mechanism for dealing with an emotionally charged situation is to hide himself away and make himself as small and insignificant as possible, to disappear and blend in with everyone else until he's utterly invisible. He wants to go unseen, to hide in his lab or literally run away to India to be forgotten. This? This couldn't be more the opposite to Thor.
He's a god. He has a legacy running through thousands of years, he's known. Not only this but his sadness, anger, anguish, it's all so visible through booming thunderstorms or burning lightning. He won't shrink away, his eyes will light up and he'll fight until he can't fight any longer and he'll tear down the sky doing so. He's constantly buzzing with electricity and raw power, uncontrollable by anyone but him. Thor is a brutal force of nature while Bruce is fleeting and subdued."
