When her husband, Ryan Miles, arrived home, she videotaped the moment he stepped through the door, proudly holding a piece of paper in his hand. She documented the doctor's notes on his chest and back, directly next to the moles she had circled. Brinlee marked six moles, and it appears that two of them were taken for testing and biopsy.
The pair later shared another video with an update. So far, the results seem promising: the mole on Ryan's rear shoulder is benign, but the one on his chest has cancerous cells. He'll have to get it removed, but it's not an emergency.
Even though this video might seem cute and funny, the real reason behind it was to check whether the moles were abnormal—and skin cancer is no joke. About 5.4M basal and squamous cell skin cancers are diagnosed each year in about 3.3M Americans, as some people have more than one.
