"It's So Peaceful Being Single": People Who Purposely Stay Single Reveal The Reason Behind Their Decision, And Now I'm Convinced

In the past, people were bound to get married, sooner or later. The old society wouldn't give anyone the choice to stay single. If a person, especially a female, says they won't get married, everyone else will give them a disgusted look. Not getting married and having children was considered unusual, sometimes even disgraceful. Did you hear about the witch trial? Yeah, unmarried women were thought to be witches. And witches must be burned.
It's a relief to be born in this day and age. Everybody now is free to choose for themselves a way to live. They can get married or can stay single till whenever they want. And it's true that people now tend to get married later in life, or do not get married at all. Why's that? Staying single is in fact not that bad at all. Some enjoy the peace and tranquility of being alone. Others simply find it's much better being on their own than in a toxic relationship. Yes, that's it. Maybe staying single doesn't sound that bad.
