Redditors Are Sharing Actors Who "Aren't Acting, Just Playing Themselves"

Typecasting is very prevalent in Hollywood today. Most movie fans are acutely aware of it, in which a certain actor becomes associated with a particular character or a similar type of role. It is often referred to in a negative sense, so some actors will purposely choose a role that is completely opposite to their usual role in order to break away from their typecast.
To be honest, there are several talented actors in Hollywood, but many get stuck playing the same type of character over and over again. We wonder whether it's because they're so good at radiating a certain personality or because of their outstanding performance as one specific character. Some of them have made a name for themselves precisely because they always play the same character.
The topic of typecasting, interestingly, is a hot one for viewers to discuss. We found out that a few weeks ago, someone asked on Reddit about actors who basically only play themselves in movies, and asked the sub to share their thoughts. We have gathered the best ones here. Let's scroll down and enjoy!
