An isolated island in Maine that only has seals for neighbors — and an outhouse — could be yours for just $339,000.

Recently, a one-bedroom house, totally separated on an uninhabited island in Maine, is put for sale for just $339,000.
The property, situated in Addison at 0 Wohoa Bay, is being sold at the cost of only a weekend getaway. Of course, for serious introvert only.
Known as Duck Ledges Island, the listing notes it is “offered in its entirety.” The property stands on 1.5 acres of land without any signs of civilization.

The island is surrounded by seals.

“The ledges surrounding the island are loaded with seals for constant Entertainment,” the listing states. “As it has no trees, it offers views of nature that you can’t find anywhere else.”
The cottage, dubbed the ‘world’s loneliest home’, was constructed in 2009. Boasting panoramic ocean views, it has no neighbors, unless the fishes are counted.
Extending for only 540 square feet, the house has no bathroom, but a separated port-a-potty is presented on the island for those who has trouble with their stomach.

The cottage/shack spans 540 square feet.

“Good anchorage and good landing points at any tide. Mooring included adjacent to the island and just a short boat ride from Jonesport public marina or Addison facility,” the listing adds.
It seems however the island is having a tough time finding a buyer. It first hit the market last June — 295 days to be exact.
