Woman's Dog Accidentally Killed Her Roommate's Cat: Who Is Responsible?

A Reddit user called u/Anon_Sweet who owns a dog named Eros needed advice from Reddit after her dog chased her roommate's cat out of the window. Writing to Reddit’s “Am I The A**hole” section, the woman asked, "AITA if my dog accidentally killed my roommate's cat while I'm not home?"

We don't want to spoil the story, so keep scrolling to read for yourself and give the woman the best advice! For those who feel heartbroken about the cat's death, we just want to say that the story, fortunately, has a happy ending, and no animal has to be buried.

According to the post, they are best friends and have lived together for 3 years. The OP has Eros while her roommate has a cat named Tut. Thankfully, the two animals have been best friends since childhood, so they get along with each other. Everything worked really smoothly until this accident happened.

Her roommate blamed Eros and therefore partially blamed the woman since he was her dog. "My roommate admits she is wrong for forgetting about the window but says that if Eros had been better trained it wouldn't have happened. She wants me to get rid of him because he reminds her of bad memories??? I don't know how to make this right."
What's going to happen next, and what exactly happened to the pet cat? Thankfully, Tut was still alive. One of his back legs is definitely broken and he looks banged up. He was later taken to the vet to get the medical treatments he needed.

Owning a pet is not just a privilege, but also a responsibility! Not only do you provide your pets with basic necessities such as food, water, toys, and shelter, but you also keep them safe and healthy, much like parenting. You are even responsible for their behaviors.
