21-Year-Old Australian Model Left With Forehead 'Horns' After Eyebrow Lift Goes Wrong

This story comes from Sydney, Australia. It is about Jessie Carr, a 21-year-old influencer, who decided to enhance her appearance by getting a fashionable eyebrow lift procedure done called the Fox Eye Thread Lift - it's supposed to raise your eyebrows much like a fox, as the name suggests.
In October, Jessie paid $2,000 for a fox eye thread lift but was left extremely dissatisfied with the final result. A few weeks after the procedure, she noticed the threads were visible. Therefore, the model shared her terrible experience in a series of TikTok videos to warn her fans from ever getting it done: 'It's my biggest regret'. The threads, however, were removed.

The 21-year-old was left with bulging bumps on the sides of her forehead (pictured). Jessie said getting Fox Eye Thread Lift has been her 'biggest regret'

'I can't take myself seriously,' she said in one TikTok video, then added: 'It's definitely not worth it, it doesn't work and it left me looking botched like this!'

The procedure consists of biodegradable threads that are inserted under the skin to lift the eyebrows. And it’s very widely used by celebrities and influencers with amazing results. But it was not the case with Jessie. The threads ended up like a nightmare and caused massive swelling on her forehead.
Jessie, making the best out of her situation, posted another video on TikTok where she jokingly wrote: 'I can't take myself seriously,' then added, 'It's obviously not worth it, it doesn't work, and it left me looking botched like this!'
When the threads were placed, Jessie swelled up significantly, and she said that it lasted two weeks.

'Then I started noticing my eyebrows were completely uneven,' Jessie said in a second video

When the swelling went down and any bruising healed, her eyebrows seemed lifted, although this only lasted a short time. In the second video, she explained, 'Then I started noticing my eyebrows were completely uneven.' Eight weeks later both eyebrows had returned back to their original position.

She said, 'I had the lumps on my face but they didn't poke out that much and didn't look inflamed.'

The threads became gradually 'worse and worse' over time, eventually being totally visible and jutting out.

Her series of TikTok videos have blown up attracting thousands of views and her experience is a reminder to 'never' have the procedure done

Her series of TikTok videos have blown up attracting thousands of views. And her story serves as a warning to 'never' have the surgery done.

When she met the doctor, surgeons gave Jessie two options - the first was to remove the threads surgically and the second was to 'dissolve' the threads using an alternative method called Ultaformer. And she chose the latter.

Jessie got the threads removed by her surgeons and received a partial refund of $1100.
