Squirrel Mom Blocks Woman’s Path And Leads Her To Help Its Injured Baby
The Pulaski Police Department in Virginia shared a story that you need to see. It not only restores our faith in humanity but also shows how wonderful a mother's love is.
A few days ago, Tia Powell was walking on a park trail near her home in Virginia when she noticed a squirrel standing just off the trail. She was not surprised because the squirrels population there is pretty large. She didn’t think much of it and continued her walk. But what happened next led her to call the police for help.
It’s when Tia realized the squirrel was in need of help. The squirrel started to be insistent with her to stop and then led her to a place where she found an injured baby squirrel lying helplessly on the ground. Tia noticed its injury was serious, so she call the police and a friend at the Humane Society for help.
Everyone suspected that it had sustained the injury from a nearby stray cat. So they decided to move the squirrels to a safer area.
“My youngest son said, ‘Look, there’s a squirrel.’ I turned my head and there were two squirrels at the edge of a branch staring directly at me. I smiled back. I believe that was the same two squirrels,” Tia shared. Her kindness saved someone’s life. “It’s still kind of surreal and neat at the same time. I am glad that I had that experience,” the woman says. “It was an experience that will always be remembered.”
