These MCU Characters Aren't Worthy Of Their Fame, And Here's Why

It's not like every figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is deserving of the massive spotlight provided by the MCU. During their tenure on TV, several of these individuals' popularity grew, while others saw it decline. Some people straddle the line between forgiving and irredeemable, and as a result, they don't deserve some of the attention and fame they receive.
Although audiences are often attracted to wicked personalities because they generally have depth and fascinating backstories, anti-heroes, heroes with defects that break the classic hero's pattern, are also popular. Nevertheless, it may be claimed that the MCU's antiheroes' acts straddle the line between tolerable and unforgivable and that as a result, many of them don't deserve the attention and admiration they've earned.

1. Loki Never Redeemed For His Crime

nullLoki was first presented to MCU audiences as Thor's scheming and homicidal brother, and even though the character has grown so much in the films and his own TV show, he still hasn't done anything to deserve the fandom. Along with collaborating with Thanos, Loki has wreaked havoc on the multiverse while doing everything he can to avoid being held accountable. The adopted son of Odin has never sought to really justify himself in the sight of others.

2. Tony is Egotistical and Pretentious.

nullTony Stark is presented as an egotistical, rich playboy in the MCU's first film, Iron Man, and he continues in that manner for most of his on-screen adventure. Tony has a lot of dislikeable features, from misogyny to transphobic statements to laughing about reinstituting prima nocta. In Endgame, however, Stark saved the planet at the cost of his life. Even though he paid the selfless sacrifice, he was nonetheless accountable for several deaths and placed countless people at risk during his lifetime.

3. Peter Quill Is Obnoxious and Immature

nullPeter Quill, popularly known as Star-Lord, the hero of the Guardians of the Galaxy films, has become a public favorite. The other Guardians, as well as the minor characters in the films, are more intriguing, fully-rounded characters who are underappreciated. Quill is not only obnoxious and immature, but he also fights recklessly, to the harm of his comrades. Infinity War, Quill's involvement in the Avengers' plot cost them the Infinity Gauntlet. He is, in certain respects, to blame for the Snap.

4. Groot Is Adorable, But He Isn't Very Helpful

nullAlthough Groot is highly popular among MCU viewers, with many wearing t-shirts, keychains, and other items with his face emblazoned on them, his inclusion in the Guardians of the Galaxy films adds little to the films. Groot is sweet and innocent, and the way he says, "I am Groot," is appealing. Groot's appearances, on the other hand, eat up important screen time that might be utilized to further the plot in films that already depend heavily on music and comedic moments.

5. Doctor Strange Is Reckless and Arrogant Like a Teenager

nullWhen Doctor Strange first appears in Marvel's Doctor Strange, he is a gifted neurosurgeon who is driven out of his medical career following an avoidable car accident and finds magic. Strange is tremendously strong, but he is also reckless and arrogant, and he constantly tests the boundaries of his power, regardless of the repercussions. Strange promptly agrees to change the thoughts of the whole rest of humanity to make everyone forget that Peter is Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and then blames Peter when the spell breaks open the universe. Audiences appear to be anticipating his comeback in Multiverse of Madness, even though Strange will have to do wonders just to rehabilitate his character.

6. Wanda Maximoff Is Basically A Villain At This Point

nullWanda Maximoff's past is filled with tragedy. Wanda has been through a lot, from the devastation of her nation and the deaths of her parents to being tested on by HYDRA and losing Vision. WandaVision, on the other hand, saw Wanda establish her own world, keeping the people of Westview inside. Wanda manages to set everyone free in the end, but she loses everything in the meantime. Wanda's popularity as a figure appears to have obscured viewers' minds when it comes to all the injustice she has done and is certain to do in the future, according to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

7. Druig Uses Mind Control Like A Dictator

nullIn 2021, filmmaker Chloe Zhao with her movie, Eternals follows a group of centuries immortal warriors who have been dispatched to Earth to defend it from a species of aliens called Deviants. For hundreds of years, the Eternals are estranged from one another, with the disdainful Druig settling in Peru. Druig mind controlled the occupants of the land in the guise of protecting his neighbors, allowing them to live happily and without strife. However, he did so at the expense of their ability to choose freely. Due to his lovely friendship with fellow Eternal Makkari and his sweetly flirty, sardonic personality, many people overlook this.
