The CW Renews The Flash, Superman & Lois, Riverdale And More

The fate of some of The CW's current TV series has been officially decided. On Tuesday, the network announced that it would renew seven of the series currently airing - All American, The Flash, Kung Fu, Nancy Drew, Riverdale, Superman & Lois and Walker - for the upcoming 2022 - 2023 season. This means audiences will soon be able to see The Flash season 9, Riverdale season 7, All American season 5, Nancy Drew season 4, Kung Fu season 3, Walker season 3 and Superman & Lois season 3.
"As we prepare for the 2022-23 season, these scripted series, along with the alternative series we renewed earlier, will serve as the start of a solid foundation utilizing some of our most-watched series for us to build on for next year and beyond," The CW Television Network CEO Mark Pedowitz said.

"These dramas are also important to our overall digital strategy, as they are some of our most-streamed and socially-engaged programming, and we look forward to adding more new and returning series to help strengthen and expand our multiplatform footprint." he added.
There are many shows with several seasons that haven't received any green light to continue yet, such as DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Charmed, Batwoman, Stargirl, In the Dark, Dynasty, Legacies, and Roswell, New Mexico. The lineup of series that haven't been renewed also includes new arrivals such as Tom Swift, Naomi, The 4400, and All American: Homecoming.

The CW also has several pilots and other projects in development. For example, there are potential new series like Gotham Knights, the Walker prequel series Walker: Independence, and the Supernatural prequel The Winchesters. Decisions on these projects should be made before the network's upfront presentation in May.
At the moment, fans are really concerned about the fate of The CW's existing programs, especially after the alleged sale of the network to Nexstar and the fact that renewals are usually announced at the beginning of the year.
