400-Million-Year-Old Hammer Discovered In London, Texas

This curious artefact was found in London, Texas, USA in 1934. The hammer was embedded in the rock and has been many theories about its origin, and most importantly its incredible age.
Scientists discovered this intriguing relic in London, Texas, U.S., in 1934. The hammer, implanted in the stone, has aroused numerous hypotheses on its origin, and most significantly, its unbelievable age.

People started to question how the hammer ended up embedded in the piece of stone. Certainly, the hammer had to be made before the rock was formed, which was millions of years ago.
However, scientists have been unable to explain all the questions raised by the discovery of the hammer, leading them to abandon the remarkable finding at the Somervell Museum in Texas.
The internal handle experienced the process of carbonization, according to research from the Metallurgical Institute of Columbia. Meanwhile, the head was made out of pure iron, almost unachievable without advanced technology.
Scientific examination shows that the head contains 97% pure iron, 2% chlorine and 1% sulfur. What makes it more interesting is that the iron also experienced a process of purification and hardening, standard for the metallurgy of the 20th century.

Furthermore, the rock encasing of the hammer, undergoing specialized analysis, dates back to the Ordovician era, which is more than 400 million years ago.
There were also anomalies related to the portion of stone surrounding the head of the hammer, as it seems to have merged with some type of sheath covering the hammer. The steady process of petrification dates back hundreds of millions of years, said geological experts.
Of course, this has resulted in a number of UFO experts and ancient astronaut theorists believing in the existence of a human civilization prior to the historical process of petrification in Texas, who already had the required technology for the manufacture of a hammer bearing modern quality.
Scientists also discarded the theory in which the iron component of the hammer came from a meteorite, as chemical inspection revealed certain amount of potassium, silicon, chlorine, calcium and sulfur, which are not available in the bodies of our solar system.

Studies also suggest that because the hammer’s head was embedded into the stone, the embedding process might have been conducted under atmospheric conditions and pressure different from those of present day, much more similar to those in the remote past.
Experts as well as astronaut theorists still discards the probability of a meteorite composed of extremely rare chemical features getting caught onto a piece of wood, in ancient era, like the current state of the hammer.
Instead, they are leaning towards the theory that our planet has been occupied since prehistoric times with civilizations possessing advanced technologies.
Meanwhile, others disagree with this, claiming that it was simply a metallurgical technique ultimately abandoned.
Just like the Russian “microchip” and the 300 million-year-old screw, this strange relic belongs to the group of several bizarre items discovered around our planets, arousing controversy among researchers who have been arguing about the exact milestone of human appearance.
