Woman Has Caused Outrage Online For Forcing Her Daughter To Get Rid Of Her Cat

A woman has been branded “selfish and asshole” for demanding her daughter to get rid of her cat. The woman explained in a Reddit post that she did not have a good relationship with her daughter, and they quarreled a lot. Besides, she did not like cats and did not want to live with them. That's the reason why she forced her daughter to give up her cat. She thinks that it's her house, and her daughter should obey her rules.
The daughter cried and pleaded with her to let her cat stay until she could move out. She says that her cat is her emotional support animal, but the mother just thinks she's very overdramatic. The selfish mom believes she's just saying these things to make her feel bad about not taking care of her and her mental health.

After sharing the post and receiving backlash from Redditors, she edited her post. She thought that there seemed to be a misunderstanding here.
"EDIT: A lot of you seem to be misunderstanding when I say my daughter is dramatic. She goes around saying that she is autistic, and has severe OCD when I've never seen her behave this way. That's why I have mental illness in quotes.
EDIT 2: this is not a fake post. having animals as pets is not common where i am from, and i do not see how everyone thinks it's so horrible to give them up."
