Marvel Is Rumored To Be Developing A "Man-Thing" Halloween Special

In the coming years, as we already know, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will expand more and more on the small screen thanks to various series produced by Marvel Studios for Disney+. Despite the climate of profound uncertainty created by the pandemic, the company is already planning the development of the next film/television projects and the introduction of new characters.

As reported by ScreenGeek, Marvel is currently creating a new Halloween special for Disney+ dedicated to Man-Thing after the one on Werewolf by Night. According to the site's sources, the studio seems to have plans to emphasize the terror side of the character and make the project a real special inspired by the horror genre. The report specifies that, although it has not yet been decided who will play the protagonist, Marvel is looking for a major actor for this role.
Even though the news was relaunched by Murphy's Multiverse (an element that should confirm its veracity), we still need to take this rumor with due caution while waiting for updates.

For those unfamiliar with him, Man-Thing is the guardian of the Nexus of All Realities located in the heart of the Everglades, Florida. Naturally empathic and a sworn enemy of evil, he is a unique being in the whole universe who is unfortunately destined to strike terror even in those he wants to protect. This humanoid swamp monster also has experienced many incredible adventures on the edge of time, space and the human soul.
Man-Thing is the protagonist of the same-name sci-fi horror movie released in 2015. In Thor: Ragnarok (2017) by Taika Waititi, there is also an Easter egg linked to this character.
