"The Crowded Room" is a compelling anthology series that will bring to light the incredible stories of those who have struggled and learned to live successfully with mental illness. The show, whose first season will consist of 10 episodes, is a gripping thriller based in part on the life of Goldsman and inspired by Daniel Keyes' award-winning biography, "The Minds of Billy Milligan".
In addition to playing lead character Danny Sullivan, Tom Holland will also be an executive producer of the series alongside Akiva Goldsman and Kornél Mundruczó - director of 2020 drama “Pieces of a Woman”, who will also direct the first season. The series will also be produced by Suzanne Heathcote, Alexandra Milchan of EMJAG Productions and Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer of New Regency.
As mentioned above, besides Tom Holland, the first season of “The Crowded Room” will also feature Amanda Seyfried as Rya, a clinical psychologist grappling with the most difficult case of her career. While she can't help but put her patients first, she tries to keep a balance between her job and her life as a single mother.
