Owner Thinks Of Rehoming Dog From Her Abusive Husband, Redditors Tell Her To Get Rid Of Him Instead

Dogs deserve to live in the love and care of their owners. For some reason, however, you have no choice but to reluctantly rehome them to another better house. This is the case of @Numerous-Potential-8, who wants to find her dog a new home after witnessing it suffer from her abusive husband every day.
In her post that gained 3.7K upvotes on Reddit, the woman shares she has a one-year-old Border Collie Mix dog that is tender and sweet. Its only fear is her husband who always relishes in the dog whenever he enters its room. He is always saying he hates the dog although it doesn't seem mischievous or disgusting.
When OP is home, she always tries to give her dog a calm space to relax. But with her husband's appearance at home, he always locks it in the room. More importantly, he seems to like the idea that the dog is scared of him, and continues treating it badly.

OP asks Reddit whether she should yield her dog to the shelter or keep it with her husband at the house it has really known. Not suggesting OP a list of good animal shelters to send her dog to, Redditors tell OP to rehome her husband instead. From OP's previous posts, it can be true that her husband is an abusive man. They belives that OP, her kids, and her dog deserve better.

In response, OP replies that she's seriously considering divorce, but the procedures are complicated.

If she can't decide to break up with her husband, then people suggest rehoming the dog to her friends, family members, or a good shelter. There's no reason to let the dog put up with her husband anymore.
