"Big Hero 6" is one of Disney's most touching flicks. The movie has a unique take on friendship, grief, and technology, set in a mix of San Francisco and Tokyo. One of the most hilarious and heartwarming scenes occurs when Hiro activates Baymax in his room. Hiro spends a lot of time grieving after Tadashi's death and accidentally activates Baymax, who claims to be Hiro's personal healthcare companion. When childhood friends Lydia and Emily meet as adults, they become a powerful pair fighting the supervillains who have terrorized the planet since a mysterious event given them extraordinary powers in the 1980s. They're the only ones who can take on The King (Bobby Cannavale) and his henchmen thanks to Emily's secret serum, but living as a superhero comes with its own set of challenges. They showed that women of any size–and any age–can rescue the planet, despite being underestimated and mocked.

After the unexpected success of "Guardians of the Galaxy", Marvel rushed to have a sequel in the works for a summer 2017 release. While not as fresh as the original break-out smash, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" was humorous, action-packed, and poignant enough to satisfy fans of the original and lovers of blockbuster film in general. Guardians Vol. 2 maintained the original film's combination of funny, action-packed, and heartfelt, with enough of both compelling action set pieces and entertaining quips. Some, though, were more gags than others.

If Avengers: Infinity War was Marvel's Empire Strikes Back, then Avengers: Endgame is the studio's Return of the Jedi: not nearly as serious as the previous film, but with jaw-dropping action and a sense of joy to cover up any flaws. Endgame's three-hour length seems light and breezy, with the film being a combination of personal and enormous. The authors are astute, paying reference to previous MCU films while never losing focus of the main plot. While some Marvel fans may be disappointed with how the adventure concludes with Infinity War's nearly unconquerable finale, one thing is certain: we'll be talking about Endgame for years to come.
