Originally a biologist working in the field of nature conservation, Fanni has even more inspiration and love towards her current full-time job.

The female artist shared that she has been fascinated with miniatures since she was a child. From the age of 6, she started making the first miniatures.

"In my twenties, I saw professional miniaturists' work for the first time through the internet. I was completely fascinated. I realized there are a lot of miniature lovers who live around the world, and some of them are making miniatures at an artistic level," she said. That is also the moment the biologist decided to become a professional miniaturist.

Along with her innate passion for craft, she has additional drawing, painting and sculpting skills necessary for this art form. "I practiced a lot until I showed my first new generation of miniature work for an audience. In my work, my most important aim is to produce realistic and detailed representations," Fanni said.

In order to be provide the most realistic representations, the preparation steps must be done carefully and meticulously. First, she collects a lot of images of animals that will be the subject of her work. Next, she made some sketches. Then, she began sculpting with specialized tools such as paper embossing tools and staplers. After this step, the product will be bake. Then she will add some details to the sculpture with her carving tools.

The next step is to paint the specimen, which is also the most important step to express the soul of the animal, requiring great detail and meticulousness. Some animals can have their feathers attached to the body with glue. Their legs are made of wire.

The 39-year-old female artist said that depending on the complexity, each work will take from 2 days to a week to complete.

Fanni's dedication to the visual arts industry has not only helped her gain 43.3k followers on Instagram; but also helped her to be awarded the title of excellent artist by the International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA) in 2016.
