It was lying hopelessly on the side of the trail. Meanwhile, its owners were nowhere to be found. A closer investigation at the dog showed that it suffered some massive injuries and sadly was unable to walk. The four-legged creature was left to die in the wild.
In the heartbreaking moment, Tia and her father knew that they were the only hope the canine could rely on. Without hesitation, the woman decided to move the dog out of the mountain and back to safety. But how? She carried the 55-pound pooch on her shoulders. Otherwise, the massive dog couldn't make it down the mountain on its own.

Well, sometimes, only by exposing to danger and extreme situations can we realize how strong and tough we can be. It seemed like Tia grow very powerful muscles that she could bear the heavy dog for 6 hours. It was an extremely impressive feat that all of us can appreciate!
Thank you, Tia, for saving the dog and bringing us such an inspiring story. If you want to know the owners who abandoned the dog, the good news is that Tia finally could find them. It was said that the canine fell down from a 100-foot cliff. Watching it roll another 200 feet, they were pretty sure their pup was no longer alive, but his survival was something like a miracle.
Tia's heroics was on the news and quickly touched thousands of hearts. In an interview with on the Pickler and Ben YouTube Channel, Tia shared more about her story:
"It was one the hardest things I’ve done in my life. I was really dead. I wanted to stop. I wanted to quit. I was almost in tears. You know, every time that I would set him down I would have to squat all the way down to my bum and then lay down so I could let him down gently so that I wouldn’t injure him anymore."
It turned out she used to be a gymnast who was familiar with intense physical exercise. But hoisting a dog like that was not a piece of cake, and not everyone was able to do that.
