Best Christmas Treat: Iowa Shelter Allows Pets To Choose Christmas Gifts For Their Own

There are many ways to celebrate Christmas. So why don't you make it a memorable moment with your family, your lovers, your friends, and your pets!? An Iowa shelter decided to share some Christmas vibes with their pets by allowing them to choose what they liked among the presents provided by the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL-Iowa).
This program was carried out under the project “Tree of Life” in which ARL-Iowa aimed to help local shelters with pet food, supplies, and toys for the upcoming year.

Watching the pets show their pure reactions will warm your heart to the core! Five dogs and four cats were given the chance to pick up their gifts among the massive pile of goodies.
Dogs were more excited about the task, and they all had different choices. Some picked the first presents they saw, while others sniffed off before coming to the final decision.

Meanwhile, cats seemed not to be picky. They "played on the donated items", according to Stephanie Filer, ARL-Iowa's manager. Besides the material presents, cats and dogs in the shelters were adopted by their forever-loving homes this Christmas season.  That's so sweet!
