Kevin Feige Confirms That Charlie Cox Will Be The Daredevil Of MCU

It is not yet known when, but the return of Charlie Cox as Daredevil and, above all, the character's debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now substantially official!

The news was given to us by none other than Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios himself. According to Feige, Cox will continue to take on the role he already played in the same-name series and as well as the action show The Defenders, both produced by Netflix.
"If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil," Feige said in a recent interview. "Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen."

Notably, this seems to be the best time to officially insert the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Hawkeye's Echo (who will also have her own stand-alone series) has just made her debut. In the comics, Echo is linked to not only Daredevil but also Wilson Fisk (played by Vincent D'Onofrio in the Netflix series), who, according to some rumors, could reprise his role in the Disney+ series dedicated to Clint Barton.
And if Marvel Studios prefer to include Matt Murdock first rather than the Man Without Fear, the She-Hulk series seems to be the perfect opportunity to introduce Matt as a professional lawyer.

Furthermore, in recent months, there have been rumors and theories related to the appearance of Charlie Cox in the role of Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Accordingly, Matt could be the lawyer who will take on the task of defending Peter Parker in things regards to the question of his secret identity. This too would be a great window for the character and, moreover, Feige's words come with a very particular timing.
A few weeks ago, there was also news leaked that he wanted Cox to sign a contract with Disney for four Marvel-branded projects, which (according to those who reported the news) could be Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk, Echo, and another work that's totally dedicated to Daredevil, maybe a movie or a series.

In short, after Netflix's sudden cancellation of the show in its third season, Kevin Feige's words are a beam of light in a situation that seemed to become increasingly desperate: Daredevil will make his debut in the MCU. It is now official!
