On February 1st, 2016, Blake Pyron was provided with a business license, a miracle that far exceeded the Pyrons’ expectations.
Because, 20 years ago, on exactly the same day, when Blake was born, the family received striking news when the doctor informed them that the boy had a congenital intellectual disability.
Mary Ann Pyron, Blake’s mother, shared that: “In the hospital they said my son could walk, could talk… They didn’t give us much hope for Blake’s future. But we always kept the faith.”
Prior to being a young entrepreneur, Blake worked in a BBQ restaurant. But shortly after his high school graduation, the restaurant closed down.
Before becoming a young owner, Blake Pyron was an employee of a barbecue restaurant. However, shortly after Blake graduated from high school, the restaurant stopped operating.
Mary expressed that her son missed his customers so much that he wanted to have a job right after.
But in that small town, finding a job has never been easy, especially for people with special conditions such as Blake.
“Other moms said my son couldn’t do anything at all,” Mary shared.

Blake’s parents went to Tim’s Place, a special store of a man who was also diagnosed with Down Syndrome in Albuquerque, just to find a chance for their son’s integrity into this society.
Upon seeing Blake’s business plan, the manager advised the parents to bravely let their son take a step forward.
“Blake has got through everything. My son is the captain of his soccer team, the king of the parties, and now, a decorated businessman. We never limit our child’s abilities,” proudly said Mary.
Blake will be in charge of the Snow Shack’s owner position, with his parents as co-owners.
Currently, the young business owner’s store now has an additional 15-year-old employee. The boy’s name is Tanner Maples, one of Blake’s neighbor.
“I will do whatever Blake requests. I will support him with all I can,” excitingly said Tanner.
“Not knowing us, not knowing my son, then don’t label him,” shared Mary. “He has done a great job indeed.”

In the future, the Down Syndrome entrepreneur wants to expand the store, hiring more people.
The opening of Blake’s Snow Shack not only brought happiness to Tanner Maples but also to the people of Sanger.
They greeted the business as an unexpected joy created by the disabled boy’s magical effort.
With summer coming, it’s getting hotter and hotter in Texas, Blake's Snow Shack's has greater opportunity to grow.
The 25-year-old young owner seems ready to indulge diners with traditional flavored snow cone such as strawberry, blue raspberry, or more exotic options like "tiger blood" and birthday cake.
