Why Is “Encanto” Worth Looking Forward To?

In Disney's upcoming movies, the "Encanto" project is one of the most anticipated. In July, the first trailer is released and has caught the attention of the majority of the audience with its vibrant colors, meticulous character creation, and great music.

In Spanish, "Encanto" means "attraction" or "enchantment". This film tells the story of the Madrigals, an incredible family who live in a magical house in an enchanted region called Encanto. Except for Mirabel, the Encanto magic has bestowed a gift on every kid, ranging from super-strength to the ability to heal. However, Mirabel remains optimistic and uses her love as strength. While her family was in danger, she was the only one to rescue them.

With released images, it's easy to see that "Encanto" is a colorful journey of magic, music with the setting in a South American country. That's thanks to directors Byron Howard and Jared Bush - the directors behind the blockbuster "Zootopia" (2016). And this time, their collaboration in "Encanto" has received positive responses from Disney fans all over the world.

As "Encanto" is an animated musical fantasy comedy film, the music is a key factor to its success. And Lin-Manuel Miranda is in charge of composing the film's soundtrack with eight original songs in both Spanish and English. He was nominated for an Academy Award for the song "How Far I'll Go" in the film “Moana”, so it's worth looking forward to the songs in the movie.
