“Men Shouldn’t Expect Women To Do Every Household Chores”, Illustrated Through Cute, Meaningful Otter Comic

Over the past decades, females have gained a strong foothold in fighting for gender equality and their human rights. Although more people are showing respect towards women, a majority of males still believe in some gender expectations that are outdated for the current pace of development.

They think that childcare and household chores are the responsibilities of women. This thought makes many men focus on themselves while not sharing a hand with their wives in doing housework or raising children. As a result, research by Stanford University shows that 69% of women want a divorce due to the frustration of men failing to do household work with them.

Robert, a Singaporean artist, would like to change people’s minds about the fixed expectations women are dealing with. He creates a cute, meaningful otter comic to explain why men shouldn’t expect women to do everything around the house. Instead, a wise husband should help their wife with the chores and care for their child as well. Scroll down to enjoy his comic!
